Innovation shouldn`t be held up by unnecessary delays.
I`m pleased to share that SB 1206, legislation that I sponsored, recently passed the Senate with bipartisan support and is now headed to the House for consideration.
This legislation helps bring life-saving treatments and medical devices to patients sooner by allowing companies to receive temporary approval under PA law while they await final federal approval. That way, once federal authorization is granted, these critical innovations can be available to Pennsylvanians without unnecessary delays.
I’m pleased to let you know that today, the Pennsylvania Senate voted for a budget with no tax increases on Pennsylvania’s families or businesses. Spending in the budget is more than $1 billion dollars below the level Governor Shapiro proposed in his budget, while protecting the state’s Rainy-Day Fund. We also provided almost a billion dollars in new education funding and more for our seniors in long-term care. It’s a bipartisan budget that will help families while still being fiscally responsible.

This week, my staff attended an outreach event at the TriCounty Active Adult Center in Pottstown. It was a great opportunity to connect with community members and share information about the services my office can provide.
Artificial intelligence should never be used as a tool for exploitation. That`s why I am introducing legislation to ban AI "nudification" apps from being made available in Pennsylvania.
By prohibiting these applications from operating in the Commonwealth, we can better protect all Pennsylvanians, especially children, from this growing form of digital abuse.
I recently voted in favor of legislation that would allow the Pennsylvania Turnpike to share time-sensitive toll data with law enforcement in cases like Amber Alerts, helping officers act quickly when every minute matters.
I was proud to sign on as a co-sponsor to legislation that would allow municipalities to enact an 18-month moratorium on data center development.
I have long stated that local decision making is crucial regarding data center development, and this would give municipalities and their residents greater say in how and where these facilities are built.
Last week, I had the honor of attending the dedication of the Revolutionary War Memorial in Memorial Park in #Pottstown.
It was a privilege to help commemorate the brave patriots whose service and sacrifice laid the foundation for the freedoms we enjoy today.
I was honored to spend part of the Fourth of July at New Goschenhoppen Park participating in a reading of the Declaration of Independence as we commemorated America`s #Semiquincentennial!
It was a meaningful way to celebrate our nation`s founding and reflect on the enduring principles our nation was founded on.
Happy Fourth of July! 🎉
This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, a milestone that reflects 250 years of independence, perseverance, and the enduring promise of liberty.
As we gather with family and friends, may we take pride in the values that unite us and honor those who have sacrificed to protect them.
Wishing you a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day! 🇺🇸
I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of @pastatepolice Trooper Michael Pahira Jr., who was killed in the line of duty while serving and protecting the people of our Commonwealth.
For 20 years, Trooper Pahira dedicated his life to public service. Please join me in keeping his family, fellow troopers, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. May he rest in peace. 🙏🏻
