PENNSBURG – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24), along with the PA Breast Cancer Coalition and numerous regional YMCAs are kicking off a month-long informational awareness campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Information about knowing your risks, early detection, and Pennsylvania’s Act 1 of 2023 will be showcased at YMCAs for the entire month of October. Participating YMCAs include:
- Upper Perkiomen Valley
- Pottstown
- Spring Valley (Royersford)
- Boyertown
Act 1 of 2023 allows for women who are at increased risk no-cost breast MRI, ultrasound, genetic testing, and genetic counseling for individuals insured under state law.
