Pennycuick Secures Job Training and Education Grants

HARRISBURG – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) today announced the approval of Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Job Training and Education grants for multiple Montgomery County schools’ technical education programs.

Senator Pennycuick worked hard to secure this funding in the 2023-2024 Commonwealth Budget. The following schools will be receiving grants for new equipment purchases:

  • $150,000 for Western Montgomery Career & Technology Center.
  • $150,000 for North Montco Technical Career Center.
  • $150,000 for Berks County Career & Technology Center.
  • $150,000 for Brandywine Heights Area School District’s technical education program.
  • $150,000 for Pottstown School District’s technical education program.

“These grants will help pay for significant upgrades at our tech schools, such as new tooling cabinets, hydraulic tables, and even hybrid vans to help students with hands-on learning of hybrid technology,” said Pennycuick. “I’m always pleased to help secure funding for schools in my district. Projects like these provide students with the technological tools and skills they need to enter the workforce.”
