Pennycuick announces awards for the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority’s Digital Connectivity Technology Program

HARRISBURG – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) today announced awards for three organizations in the 24th Senate District that will be receiving new technology devices from the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority’s (PBDA) Digital Connectivity Technology Program.

The organizations will that be receiving new technology from this program are:

  • YWCA Tri-County Area – 99 devices
  • North Penn School District – 200 devices
  • Montgomery County District Library Center – 200 devices

“I’m very thankful to PBDA for its decision to invest in our communities,” said Pennycuick. “These devices will be distributed to students in our schools, residents at community centers, and in libraries throughout Montgomery County. In today’s world, it’s crucial that we ensure every Pennsylvanian has access to the technology they need to succeed.”

The Digital Connectivity Technology Program is funded pursuant to the Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund, established under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The Digital Connectivity Technology Program aims to increase access to technology devices where affordability has been identified as a barrier to broadband adoption and use.
