Senator Pennycuick to Host 4th Annual Youth Fishing Derby

HARRISBURG – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) is pleased to announce her 4th Annual Youth Fishing Derby, now at a new location—Camp Wawa Park in Schwenksville. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and aims to promote outdoor recreation, environmental education, and family engagement.

“I am excited to once again host this annual event, which provides young anglers and their families with an opportunity to enjoy Pennsylvania’s natural resources,” said Senator Pennycuick. “In addition to fishing, participants will have the chance to learn about our state’s diverse wildlife and the importance of conservation.”

The derby is open to all youth, and families are encouraged to attend. Whether experienced anglers or first-time fishers, all participants are welcome. Attendees are advised to bring their own fishing poles and bait to fully engage in the event.

“This derby is a wonderful opportunity for families to get outside, enjoy nature, and learn more about our local wildlife and conservation efforts,” said Senator Pennycuick. “I look forward to welcoming everyone for a memorable morning of fishing and learning.”
