HARRISBURG – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) announced today that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has awarded a $10,373,753 contract to James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia to repair and resurface over 25 miles of state highways across Montgomery County.
“This significant state investment will improve the condition and safety of some of the most heavily traveled roads in our region,” said Senator Pennycuick. “I’m proud to support projects that prioritize long-term infrastructure improvements for the families and businesses of Montgomery County.”
Under the contract, PennDOT will resurface sections of 10 state roadways using bituminous material. The new pavement will seal and protect the roadways while providing a smoother, safer driving experience for motorists.
Roadways scheduled for resurfacing within the 24th Senatorial District include:
- Route 63 (Main Street) in Lansdale Borough, and Towamencin and Montgomery townships
- Route 73 (Big Road) in Lower Frederick Township
- Game Farm Road in Lower Frederick and Limerick townships
Construction is scheduled to begin this summer and is expected to be completed by summer 2026. The project is being funded entirely with state dollars.
