HARRISBURG – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) today announced that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has awarded a $2,741,024 contract to Grace Industries Inc., of Fredonia, PA, to replace or rehabilitate three bridges in Bucks and Montgomery counties—including two critical infrastructure projects in the 24th Senatorial District.
“This is an important investment in our local infrastructure that will improve safety, reliability, and long-term functionality for our community,” said Senator Pennycuick. “Maintaining and upgrading our bridges ensures that our transportation network remains strong for residents, commuters, and emergency responders.”
The two projects located in Montgomery County within the 24th District include:
- Church Road over Perkiomen Creek in Upper Hanover Township: This project will fully replace the existing bridge structure, install new guide rails, and reconstruct the approach roadway with a full-depth pavement replacement.
- Salford Street Bridge over a branch of Perkiomen Creek in Upper Salford Township: This project will rehabilitate the existing bridge, install new guide rails, and perform a full-depth replacement of the approach and bridge roadway pavement.
Construction on the projects is expected to begin later this year.
