RED HILL, PA – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) announced that beginning December 3, Pennsylvania’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is now accepting applications to help residents with their home heating bills.
The 2025–26 season will run from December 3 through April 10. LIHEAP benefits must be applied for each year.
“Ensuring Pennsylvanians are warm this winter is essential. I encourage any family needing help with their heating costs to contact my office to apply for LIHEAP,” said Pennycuick.
LIHEAP assistance does not need to be repaid and is available as cash or crisis grants. This season, cash grants range from a minimum of $200 to a maximum of $1,000. Households may receive one cash grant per LIHEAP season.
Eligibility is based on income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Limit. For an individual, that is a gross annual income of $22,590, and for a family of four, $46,800.
