Program applicants have until December 31 to apply
HARRISBURG – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) is reminding Pennsylvania residents who qualify for the state’s Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program that they have until December 31 to submit an application for the 2024 rebate year.
The program is open to seniors age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and residents with disabilities who are at least 18. Income limits for both homeowners and renters are set at $46,520, an increase tied to adjustments in the Consumer Price Index. Only half of Social Security income counts toward eligibility, and the maximum rebate available is $1,000.
Assistance completing the application is available by calling Sen. Pennycuick’s office at (215) 541-2388. Additional program details and online applications are available through the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
