RED HILL – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24), along with local legislators, are awarding School Safety grants to North Penn and Souderton Area School Districts. North Penn will receive $305,659 while Souderton Area Schools will receive a $479,398 grant.
These funds aim to enhance security throughout both districts by providing for additional security officers, a police vehicle, fire alarm system upgrades, and other safety equipment. The grants will also support investments in mental health services for students.
The School Safety and Security Committee (SSSC) under the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) administers these grants.
