RED HILL, PA – Today, Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) announced the launch of a new online calculator on the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue’s website. The tool is designed to help residents determine if they qualify for the new state-level Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit (WPTC) and estimate how much they could receive.
Modeled after the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and enacted as part of the 2025–26 state budget, the WPTC provides a credit equal to 10 percent of the federal credit.
“We are putting money back in the pockets of working Pennsylvanians to support families across Berks and Montgomery counties and throughout our Commonwealth,” said Senator Pennycuick. “For those with questions about the credit, my office is available to help at (215) 541-2388.”
The WPTC is expected to deliver $193 million to nearly 1 million Pennsylvanians starting with the next tax season.
