HARRISBURG – Sen. Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) along with Skippack Township, PA Banking and Securities, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, and AARP will be hosting a Scam Jam event on Friday, December 13 at the Skippack Township Building (4089 Heckler Rd, Skippack, PA 19474) from 10 AM – 12 PM.
Scammers are especially active during the holidays, as spending, online shopping, and charitable giving increase. And while scams may take different forms, the underlying method is often the same: preying on emotions, circumstances, or lack of knowledge to take financial advantage of another party. Remaining vigilant and knowing the warning signs is paramount.
“This event serves as a comprehensive educational experience on the latest scam tactics and prevention strategies,” said Pennycuick. “Our expert speakers will provide valuable insights and actionable advice to help you protect yourself and your loved ones from the ever-evolving world of fraud.”
This a free, non-commerical event. Attendance is limited and registration is strongly recommended. To register, please visit here, or call Senator Pennycuick’s office at 215-541-2388.
